Protecting the Consumer

In September, 2010, Bonnie was called in to help rally support for Harvard economist (and now Senator) Elizabeth Warren and the agency she proposed to protect consumers from fraudulent and misleading practices on the part of the banks and credit card companies.

Bonnie commissioned the creation of an online hub for activism on behalf of the proposed agency, the Main Street Brigade.

She wrote and produced a viral video for the campaign, which was picked up on CNN, the New York Times, and some of the large Internet blogs. These were followed by two Funny or Die videos which are still highlighted on the Funny or Die site.

When the resolution to create the Consumer Financial Protection Agency was passed, Elizabeth Warren and her supporting staff stated that Bonnie’s help had been integral in achieving victory for the consumer.
